Professional Summary

Project Manager with experience driving projects, developing teams, managing multiple stakeholders, and ensuring projects remain within scope, schedule, and defined budgets.

Hi there, my name’s Cara! If you'd like to learn more about me & my work, please read on or feel free to check out my LinkedIn profile (below).

About me:
My work and expertise are focused on project management, content development, content management, and client relationships. Currently, I am a Project Manager for the eLearning company, Construct. In this role, I primarily work with a CA high school district client to oversee its new educational content initiative (20 original online courses customized to meet the district's curriculum needs).

My background:
My skills developed through running my own video marketing business for 3 years. During my sophomore year at Duke University, I launched a video marketing business where I created promotional & educational video content for medical groups. Running my business taught me how to develop an efficient content pipeline, successfully oversee multiple content projects at once, and build strong client relationships.

In my current role as an EdTech Project Manager, I have further developed my skills in client relations, leadership, and content management. I manage teams using agile methodology to push content deliverables forward while also maintaining positive relationships with a large stakeholder base.

Outside of my business, I graduated from Duke University in 2018, where I led the 20-person team behind Duke University’s student broadcasting network. During my college career, I also worked at the following companies/groups: Happy Madison Productions (Adam Sandler's film/TV company), Duke Arts, Duke Department of Surgery, The Walt Disney Company, and the Digital Marketing Foundry.

What I am passionate about:
I am incredibly passionate about education — specifically, education accessibility. My passion stems from a very personal place. My family’s trajectory was completely transformed for the better when, several decades ago, my grandparents lucked into a chance at good schooling in the Philippines. The power of that educational opportunity opened up the world for my family. Having seen what education can do, I want my work to help as many people as possible get their fair shot at a great education.
